KOTA BARU: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) deputy president Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir says the party will not break off ties with Pakatan Harapan, and at the same time, is still hoping to work with Pas.

He said it was still waiting for Pas to make a decision on their cooperation, probably after its ‘muktamar’ (assembly) in April.

"However for us, April is quite late as we expect the general election soon. It will be hard if we wait longer.

"We will continue with Pakatan Harapan. When they have make a decision to work together, for example in states where they have a chance to win, we can still accept them," he told reporters at a ceramah at Kampung Chempaka, here this evening.

Mukhriz said that as a new entity, PPBM can still sit down and discuss with all parties, as long as the door remains open.

He said the party had held three meetings with Pas so far and their relationship was good.

"Many issues were discussed in the meetings. We still receive invitations to attend ceramahs together with Pas.

"So far, we see Pas as being open to find similarities where we can cooperate and work together. The door has not been closed," he said.
