Premier League table: Latest 2019/20 EPL standings, fixtures and results today in gameweek 35
Monday is set to be a pivotal day in the 2019/20 Premier League season with two key events shaping the table.
Manchester City dramatically had their Champions League ban lifted by the Court of Arbitration for Sport in the morning.
City will be playing Champions League football next season, meaning fifth place will no longer cut it - and that puts added pressure on a top-four finish.
And following weekend defeats for Chelsea and Leicester City, Manchester United missed the chance to go third as they drew 2-2 with Southampton to remain fifth.
Other weekend results saw Tottenham earn north London bragging rights once again as they beat Arsenal 2-1, while Aston Villa gave their survival hopes a much-needed boost by beating Crystal Palace.
On Saturday, Liverpool's hopes of meeting or surpassing City's record top-flight points haul was dealt a blow as they drew 1-1 with Burnley, failing to win a home league match for the first time in 18 months.
West Ham moved four points clear of danger as Michail Antonio scored all the goals in a 4-0 thumping to relegate Norwich, while Watford sealed a crucial 2-1 defeat of Newcastle at Vicarage Road.
