Waleed Ali, 42, was sentenced to five years in prison after jurors found him guilty of raping a girl under 16 at Sheffield Crown Court on Friday, the National Crime Agency (NCA) said. Ali, of Scunthorpe in Lincolnshire, was arrested and interviewed in September 2021 after a woman told Operation Stovewood officers she had been attacked when she was 14 years old and had not reported it before.

A man suspected of a hit-and-run spree drove his car into a football stadium at the University of Colorado in Boulder while trying to evade police on Thursday, September 12.Boulder police said they had chased the driver after learning of a series of hit-and-run crashes involving the same car.“During this incident, the witnesses tried to stop the driver from leaving, and one person was almost struck by the pickup truck. The driver continued driving, struck another car and more trees,” police said.
