Prince Andrew Walked Princess Beatrice Down The Aisle

While Princess Beatrice’s wedding ceremony was private, taking place in Windsor on 7/17 after having been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, Buckingham Palace has confirmed that Prince Andrew walked his older daughter down the aisle. The statement reads: “The Bride was walked down the aisle by her Father.”

Original: Prince Andrew is expected to walk his daughter Princess Beatrice down the aisle at her wedding later this year, and will reportedly also make a toast at the Buckingham Palace reception.
Ever since The Duke of York stepped back from his royal duties in November, amid the fallout from his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, it has been unclear how much of a presence he would be at Beatrice's wedding to financier Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. But according to People, Andrew will play a major role in the nuptials, and may make a speech in addition to giving his daughter away.
"Andrew will probably give a toast at the reception like any father of the bride,” People's anonymous source said. “They will try to normalize this as much as possible.”
The wedding date was reportedly pushed back twice in light of the scandal, and will now take place at St James's Palace in London on May 29. However, the ceremony will be "smaller than the original plan", and will not feature a carriage reception because the couple decided on a "more low-key" affair. Following the ceremony, the Queen will host a private reception in the grounds of Buckingham Palace, which is where Andrew will presumably make his toast.
Prince Andrew was noticeably absent from Beatrice's engagement party in December, which fell shortly after his disastrous BBC interview about his relationship with Epstein. During the interview, he also addressed his alleged contact with Virginia Roberts (now Giuffre), who has stated that she had sex with the prince when she was 17 and being trafficked by Epstein. Prince Andrew has "emphatically denied" this allegation.
