A coffin full of bones, a life-size blow-up Rick Astley doll and a nude painting of Prince Charles are among the weirdest items found by removal staff during house moves.

It’s only really when moving home that we realise some of the unusual items we’ve collected over the years.

It’s no wonder, therefore, that removal drivers have been asked to transport some pretty weird and wonderful things from one home to another.

Removals platform, Shift, asked its community of movers to submit some of the strangest items they have transported when helping customers move house.

The results make for some pretty interesting reading, and will no doubt cause some pretty red-faces from any homeowners who recognise their unique items on the list.

Topping the list of unusual items drivers have been asked to shift are a coffin full of bones and a life-size Rick Astley blow-up doll.

Other quirky, and somewhat cheeky, items of note include the discovery of a crotchless Mr Blobby outfit, a 3ft phallic toy and a nude painting of our future monarch, Prince Charles.

The unique findings don’t end there, as employees of the removal company also reported the discovery of a gold bondage suit, a collection of milk bottles filled with urine (we’re not going to ask how they knew it was urine) and a taxidermy hamster wearing lipstick, as you do!

After delving into the results a little further, Shift learned that the coffin was apparently full of a customer’s dead dogs that they didn’t want to bury.

Meanwhile, the oversized dildo was part of a customer’s extensive collection of adult toys, and the Rick Astley doll belonged to an avid fan of the pop singer, who was never gonna give it up *groans*.

Commenting on the unusual findings Tim Sheppard, business and operations lead at Shift said: “Our Shifters are committed to being able to move anything to anywhere, and although this can sometimes make them uncomfortable, they’re committed to getting the job done in a professional manner and never judge.”

Even so, if you are moving house, it’s probably worth covering over that nude painting of the future king, you know... just in case.
