Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are expected to take part in the coronation procession from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace.

According to The Times, who have had access to the coronation rehearsal plans, the royal children will join their parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales, behind their grandfather, King Charles, and step-grandmother, Queen Camilla, in procession to Buckingham Palace with other members of the royal family. It is also reported that King Charles' coronation procession is planned to be much smaller than Queen Elizabeth's procession.

George, who is nine, was widely expected to attend, as was Charlotte, who will have just turned eight years old. However, the attendance of Louis, who will be five, was up in the air. At Queen Elizabeth's coronation in 1953, Prince Charles was just four years old at the time. He was photographed looking bored.

"Although the children’s presence has not been confirmed by Kensington Palace, documents show that after processing out of the abbey, they are expected to join their parents in a carriage behind the King and Queen, who will be in the Gold State Coach," The Times reports.

Their cousins, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, have reportedly not yet been invited to the coronation. Archie will turn four on the day of his grandfather's coronation, and Lilibet will be just shy of her 2nd birthday. There's no word if Prince Harry and Meghan will attend the coronation, after the pair stepped down from their senior royal roles in January 2020.
