Prince Harry And Meghan Markle have shared their parting words, thanking their fans for their ‘support’ and ‘inspiration’ before they officially step down as senior royals on March 31.

On Monday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared a picture of a statement on a dark blue background with their official crest to thank their followers for their love and support over the years. It is unknown whether the couple will also release a more formal statement via the Palace.

In the statement, the pair thank their Instagram ‘community’ for ‘the support, the inspiration and the shared commitment to the food in the world’.

The parents of 11-month-old Archie signed off the statement ‘Harry and Meghan’, choosing not to add their previous royal titles which they will no longer use following their departure from the royal family from April 1. The couple are currently in the process of setting up a new charitable organisation, without the use of their HRH titles.

‘As we all find the part we are to play in this global shift and changing of habits, we are focusing this new chapter to understand how we can best contribute,’ an excerpt of the post’s caption reads.

‘While you may not see us here, the work continues.’

The couple continued, adding that they look forward to reconnecting with their Instagram community soon, noting: ‘You’ve been great!

‘Until then, please take good care of yourselves, and of one another.’

The Daily Mail's royal correspondent Rebecca English later tweeted that the couple will no longer post on Instagram using the handle @sussexroyal.

'They will remain in existence online for the foreseeable future, although they will be inactive as the couple look for a new "branding",' she explained in a Twitter post.

The news comes hours after a Palace official said Prince Harry’s father, Prince Charles, was in good health and was following the government's restrictions after testing positive for Covid-19 last week.

‘Clarence House has confirmed today that, having consulted with his doctor, the Prince of Wales is now out of self-isolation,’ a spokesperson said.

On Tuesday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will officially step down as senior royals after announcing their plans to do so in January.

A spokesperson for the couple also announced on February 21, that while neither the government nor the Queen have the rights to the word ‘royal’ internationally, the pair have decided to no longer use the title in their official Sussex Royal branding going forward.

Over the weekend, a spokesperson for the couple responded to President of the US Donald Trump's remarks concerning the government paying for their security during their stay in the country. The couple are believed to have recently relocated to California after residing in Vancouver, Canada since the beginning of the year.

A spokesperson told the BBC: 'The duke and duchess have no plans to ask the US government for security resources. Privately funded security arrangements have been made.'
