Princess Beatrice celebrated her 32nd birthday on Saturday, and her younger sister, Princess Eugenie, was sure to make it a special event.

Princess Eugenie posted two photos on Instagram for her big day: a sweet selfie, taken on the eve of Beatrice's recent royal wedding, and a throwback photo of the sisters and their mother in 1992. "Happy happy Birthday dear Beabea," she wrote in a caption, adding a bee emoji. "Here we are on the eve of your wedding. Still rocking a scrunchie or hair accessory (since the 90s) and huge smiles on our faces." (In both images, Beatrice is sporting a bold hairpiece.)

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo "Edo" Mapelli Mozzi's nuptials took royal watchers by surprise; after they were forced to cancel their plans for a big bash in May due to the pandemic, the couple decided to tie the knot in a quiet, private ceremony at Windsor. A source told Town & Country that the socially-distanced ceremony had a "secret garden" theme. The bride looked stunning in Queen Mary’s diamond fringe tiara—the very same sparkler that Queen Elizabeth, then Princess Anne, wore on their wedding days—and a vintage Norman Hartnell gown on loan from the Queen.

Following the ceremony, Beatrice and Edo reportedly held a "small reception" to celebrate. "A few more people were there than the wedding, but it was still very small and intimate. It was all outdoors and under a tent with the same matching floral design and theme as the wedding," a source told People.
