Prisma launches offline mode for its photo filter app

Art filter app Prisma

Art enthusiasts no longer have to wait for an internet connection to turn their favorite photos into an Edward Munch painting, reports Tech Crunch. Art filter app Prisma has created an offline mode for users to create creative images anytime, anywhere.

Prisma, which has garnered more than 55 million downloads for iOS and Android over the summer, will now be able to power up 16 filters on one device. Processing images offline is expected to be faster than the cloud processing route.

The company is also looking to create art filters for video, an innovation it hopes to launch later this month.
