Protesters Gather for Second Night in St Louis After Breonna Taylor Decision

Around 200 people marched through downtown St Louis, Missouri, on September 24, for a second night of protests sparked by a grand jury decision in the Breonna Taylor case.

The St Louis Post Dispatch reported that people gathered for a vigil to commemorate Taylor, before blocking a section of I-64 for around 30 minutes after marching downtown chanting: “Say her name.”

Protests erupted across the US after a former police officer, Brett Hankison, was charged with wanton endangerment in relation to the fatal shooting of Taylor during a raid on her apartment in March. Two other officers who discharged their weapons were not charged. Credit: LaShana Lewis via Storyful
