Results of the 2018 Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) will be released on 22 November. Students may obtain their results from their respective primary schools from 11am, said the Ministry of Education (MOE) on Thursday (15 November).

At the same time, eligible students will receive option forms to select their secondary schools. There will be a unique S1 personal identification number (S1 PIN) in each form for the students to submit online via the Secondary 1 Internet System.

The system will be accessible through the Ministry of Education’s (MOE) website from 11am on 22 November to 3pm on 28 November. Students should discuss their options with their parents, make their decisions and complete the option forms before logging on to the system.

Alternatively, the option forms can be submitted through the students’ respective primary schools, during these time slots: 11am to 3pm on 22 November, and 9am to 3pm on 23, 26, 27 and 28 November.

Application for SSNTs

Students who are eligible for the Normal (Technical) course and want to study in Crest Secondary School or Spectra Secondary School should apply directly to them from 11am on 22 November to 12pm on 26 November.

These two Specialised Schools for Normal (Technical) students (SSNTs) offer a customised skills-based curriculum and exposure to learning opportunities, from which they can progress to Institutes of Technical Education.

In addition to applying to the SSNTs, eligible students are also required to indicate their choices for other secondary schools under the S1 Posting Process. This will ensure that those who are not admitted into Crest or Spectra can be posted to another school of their choice seamlessly.

Students successfully admitted into Crest or Spectra will be informed by the schools via mail and SMS by 13 December. More information on Crest Secondary School and Spectra Secondary School can be found on the schools’ websites, as well as the “Choosing Your Secondary Schools” information booklet.
