Punjab CM pays tributes to Saragarhi martyrs on battle’s 124th anniversary

Mohali (Punjab), Sep 12 (ANI): Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Sept 12 paid tributes to the martyrs of Saragarhi battle on its 124th anniversary, via video conferencing. Taking to the twitter, the minister recalled the valour and heroism and tweeted, “Pay homage to the 21 soldiers of 36 Sikh (now 4 Sikh) who chose death than surrender in the face of attack by more than 10,000 Pathans. Iconic SaragarhiBattle fought this day in 1897 would always remain etched in the annals of military history as an epitome of valour and heroism.”
