KUALA LUMPUR: Two cars – a Jaguar and a BMW – left the North Korean embassy at about 2.20pm today.

Ambassador Kang Chol was in the first vehicle, while an unidentified teenage male and teenage female were seen inside the second car.

Members of the local and foreign press believe the two teenagers are Ri Jong-chol's children, as it was reported that they also live in Malaysia.

Ri, who was arrested as part of investigations into the murder of Kim Jong-nam, was released from police custody this morning and is to be deported to North Korea today, as he lacks valid documents.

Ri was arrested for chauffeuring one of four North Korean men wanted by Malaysian police in the assassination of Jong-un, but was released due to insufficient evidence with which to charge him.
