PWN distributes 'Daulat Tuanku' car window stickers to city folk

KUALA LUMPUR: Pertubuhan Warisan Negara (PWN) today distributed some 5,000 car window stickers displaying the phrase “Daulat Tuanku” (long live the King) to the public in conjunction with the 15th Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s birthday celebration. Its chairman, Datuk Zulkifly Ibrahim, said the distribution of the stickers was one of the continuous efforts by the organisation in its efforts to uphold the constitutional monarchy system and a show of support to the Malay Rulers’ institution. “Greetings are being displayed at strategic locations in Kuala Lumpur as a sign of reverence to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (Sultan Muhammad V), to create public awareness on the important day and at the same time, gives the organisation, that has been active since five years ago, a boost,” he said. Meanwhile, Federal Territories Minister Khalid Samad said he hoped the initiative would help inculcate loyalty and respect towards the royal institution and the constitutional monarchy system among the people. “I hope the people would take concern of the importance of the royal institution that must be upheld to ensure that there is a balance in the administration based on democratic system. The Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s birthday celebration will be held on Sept 9. © New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd
