'Xenoblade Chronicles 2' is coming to 'Super Smash Bros. Ultimate'

Pyra and Mythra will join the game next month.

Nintendo

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's newest fighters are Pyra and Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and you'll be able to play them in March. Nintendo announced them during its recent Direct presentation and promised to share additional details closer to release. The two follow recent additions in Sepiroth from Final Fantasy VII and Min Min from Arms.

Technically, Pyra and Mythra are the 79th fighters to join SSBU's roster since you can switch between them freely as you play. They'll join Shulk from Xenoblade Chronicles as the latest additions from the franchise. Nintendo plans to add at least two more DLC characters after this. As with past new fighters, you'll get Pyra and Mythra through the $30 Fighters Pass Vol.2 or separately for $6.
