QC road rage suspect sends surrender feelers

QUEZON CITY, Philippines — Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director PC/Supt Guillermo Eleazar said, road rage suspect, Fredison Atienza who allegedly shot I.T. expert, Anthony Mendoza last Saturday on D. Tuazon street corner Quezon Avenue, might surrender anytime.

According to PC/Supt. Eleazar, the suspect’s lawyer has already talked to them to ask what preparations are needed before the suspect surrenders.

However, the lawyer did not state when Atienza intends to surrender to authorities.

The QCPD has already recovered the white Toyota Land Cruiser, with plate number AHA 3454, allegedly used by the suspect when the incident happened.

Authorities also found out in their investigation that licenses for the .45 caliber pistol and Glock 9mm pistol registered to the suspect have already expired.

The QCPD has manhunt operations underway.

“He is now considered armed and dangerous,” said PC/Supt. Eleazar.

The QCPD also assured that once the suspect and the victim’s camp settle, criminal charges will still be pressed against the suspect.

Eleazar reminds motorists that “arrogance has no place on the streets.” — Grace Casin | UNTV News and Rescue
