Qin Shupei shares why she fell for Edison Chen
4 Sep – Chinese model Qin Shupei recently opened up about her relationship to former "Hong Kong bad boy" turned doting father, Edison Chen.
As reported on Mingpao, the model recently sat down for an interview with a magazine, where she admitted that she was attracted to Edison's honesty and attitude when she saw him yell at a blogger on social media.
"I then met him face to face at a fashion event, and I found him to be funny, attentive, and extremely smart," she said.
Qin also admitted that her parents were originally against the relationship, as did a lot of other people around her, especially because of the negative news surrounding Edison.
"I brought my parents to the United States so they could meet him. Edison didn't do anything special to please them, and they just naturally changed their mind about him," she said.
Qin admitted that there is nothing complicated about her relationship with the actor, and that they are happy doing simple things every day.
"We do whatever that comes to mind. It's a very comfortable relationship. He is very supportive in what I want to do. I became even more confident with him encouraging me. When I get a job, I will go to work. But when there's none, I would just accompany my husband and take care of our child," she said.
The couple are parents to one-year-old daughter, Alaia.
