This just in: Cherry Mobile has divulged that the smartphone it is releasing next week is the Cherry Mobile SkyFire 2.0, an update to the first SkyFire the company rolled out to stores in November 2012.
This time, the model gets a quad-core processor, making it the fourth Cherry Mobile quad-core device after the Fusion Bolt, Flame 2.0, and Fusion Fire. The Cherry Mobile SkyFire 2.0 is also now powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon S4 chipset instead of MediaTek's MT6577.
Here's a chart to let you see the difference between the two SkyFires.
The Cherry Mobile SkyFire 2.0 is said to be the equivalent of Karbonn S5 Titanium, which costs about P9,000 in India. And good news for us here in the Philippines: the Cherry Mobile version is cheaper at P7,999.
Interested? You don't have to wait long to get your hands on it because as we mentioned earlier, the SkyFire 2.0 will be available at all Cherry Mobile concept stores, kiosks, and accredited dealers nationwide starting next week.
