The couple share daughters Amelie, 11, and eight-year-old Minnie.

After six months, Stevens has now confirmed she has moved into a new place, taking to Instagram to thank fans for their support during the difficult time.

Next to a selfie in which she's seen smiling in a black jumper, she wrote: "Hey all. Hope you’re really well. What a week it’s been… sorry I’ve been MIA. I’ve just moved home today and I’m up to my ears in boxes and feeling such a mix of emotions.

"I’m so incredibly grateful for the love and support I have around me. Trusting the process and the magic of new beginnings."

Speaking on on Roxie Nafousi's The Moments That Made Me podcast, she joked that was "a really long time back then", and while they dated on and off throughout their teens, fate had them cross paths again years later.

"We then went on dates again when we were like 16 and then again when we were 18 and then we parted ways, you know, obviously I went off and did my thing he went off and did his thing," she explained.

"Years and years later, I was in Selfridges randomly and he walked in and we bumped into each other."

Announcing their split in July 2020, Stevens posted on Instagram Stories: "I just wanted to share with you all that after time and consideration the difficult decision has been made for Alex and I to separate.

"While we are no longer partners in marriage, we will remain partners in parenthood to our beautiful girls and continue with love and respect for each other.

"I feel so incredibly grateful for the life we built together and will now continue to be focused on moving forward united as a family."
