Those who didn’t tune into Fox News on Friday night missed a Republican senator’s insane meltdown about how the Biden administration is supposedly wasting “hundreds of billions” on taxpayer-funded programs that include, among other things, feeding cocaine to horny quail.

Kentucky’s Sen. Rand Paul appeared on Hannity to provide details of his forthcoming ‘Festivus’ report, an annual review of what he considers wasteful public spending, during which he also claimed to be in “weekly” consultations with the so-called Department of Government Efficiency.

A meme-coin themed advisory commission headed up by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, the initiative has been established with a view toward razing government programs across the board. Rand claims to have already shared more than “2000 pages of waste” with the group.

Previewing some of his findings from the upcoming report, which is due to be released Dec. 23, Rand told host Sean Hannity, “We will talk about electric charging stations, electric cars, but we’ll also be talking about government funding for ice skating drag queens, we’ll be talking about taxpayer-funded magic.”

Hannity cut in, “Let me stop you there ... Ice skating… alright, how much money are we spending on the ice skating drag queens?”

Paul responded, “I can tell you the total will be in the hundreds of billions for the entire Festivus report.” He added, “I don’t have the breakdown on each individual one, but I can tell you that there are millions of dollars being spent on magic. I can tell you that.”

The conversation then took an even more bizarre turn once Paul started talking about a particular program allegedly established to research the mating habits of Japanese quail.

“One of my favorites was when they decided that they would spend a million dollars studying what would happens to Japanese quail–are they more sexually promiscuous?–when you give them cocaine,” said Paul.

He added, “This is stuff… you can’t make it up,” omitting the fact this particular (highly experimental) initiative was in fact shut down almost a decade ago.
