Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is keen to move on from Gareth Bale after the Welsh winger's loan move to Tottenham.

The French coach had hoped Bale would move on a year ago and froze out the 31-year-old in the second half of last season.

Bale has since signed for former club Spurs on loan and in an interview with Sky Sports, claimed he had 'no regrets' about his time at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Asked if he wanted to say anything about Bale in his press conference on Friday ahead of Saturday's LaLiga game away to Real Betis, Zidane said: "Nothing. I won't respond to Gareth.

"I will say again: we wish him the best for what lies ahead. We are focused on ourselves. That's all."

Bale, who is currently out injured and will have to wait to make his second Spurs debut, is under contract for two more years at Real but seems unlikely to play for the Spanish side again.
