Remnants of Barry Bring 'Significant' Flooding to Southern Arkansas

Remaining thunderstorms from the former hurricane Barry brought “significant and life-threatening” flash flooding in southern Arkansas on Tuesday, July 16, the National Hurricane Center said.

The National Weather Service said “particularly heavy” thunderstorms affected southwest Arkansas, and it reported the possibility of a foot of rain in the region by Tuesday afternoon.
