It's no secret that John F. Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe were more than just friends. I mean, you don't sing Happy Birthday like that to a friend. While there are a lot of details about their affair that are missing or have no evidence, this property on Vrbo may have been one of the secret hiding places where the pair met up.

A four-bedroom mountainside estate in Scottsdale, Arizona, overlooking a golf course, is currently available to book on Vrbo for $1,110. A bit expensive, yes. However, there seems to be a lot of hot, steamy history lurking inside the walls of this modern ranch. The description of the property notes that this is "where John F Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe used to meet to enjoy each other's company." It also notes that a student of Frank Lloyd Wright designed the estate; he was sure to incorporate many iconic style elements of Wright's into the 5,500 square foot home. And as you may already know, House Beautiful has a very special connection with Mr. Wright himself.

Now, whether or not you believe the JFK and Monroe affair rumors, this home is still an exceptional property to rent out if you're vacationing in Arizona. Guests can enjoy a swimming pool, a deck that delivers breathtaking views of the area, as well as extremely spacious rooms and multiple fireplaces inside. Outside the property you'll notice several cacti and desert plants, as well as a figurine of a tiny cowboy, to really give you a feel of the western lifestyle. Inside, the home boasts a modern Santa Fe style, with brown leather and wooden pieces populating the space. And of course, this luxe home features all the 21st century amenities needed to keep guests comfortable in a desert-like environment like this.

The property earned itself a 5/5 star rating on Vrbo from guests who have stayed there in the past. Be sure to read their glowing entires about their stays at the estate, that praise both the home, and the host, Nancy. One guest wrote: "My family loved the property. The views from the upper deck are spectacular. Nancy is a wonderful property manager-- very responsive. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this property again."

The property, which sleeps 10, is a short drive from the Biltmore and Scottsdale shopping areas, as well as the airport. Also, the property description notes that it's located by the side of a mountain, which virtually blocks out all traffic noise, providing a peaceful environment to spend with your family... or, well, um, have a secret affair. If you're interested in booking, there is a three night minimum. You can book your stay here.
