KUALA LUMPUR: Rembau Member of Parliament Khairy Jamaluddin has voiced his support for a motion filed by Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng for the Auditor-General and Public Accounts Committee (PAC) to re-open their investigation into the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) scandal.

He said his support is based on Umno and Barisan Nasional not wanting to be burdened by the controversy anymore.

"It is good that they want to reopen the investigation on this issue to the public. They have my full support on this and we want to know the truth.

"As a former Cabinet minister, we all need to know the truth, because before this, we were not told some of the things about (1MDB).

"We want to be free from this burden and people will find out the truth about it," said the former Youth and Sports minister at the launch of "Buah Tangan", an online business platform in conjunction with the National Day and Merdeka month celebration here today.
