Republican senator launches incredible attack on the 'chaos' of Donald Trump's administration

Senate Foreign Relations Committee chairman Bob Corker has launched a thinly veiled attack on Donald Trump’s ‘chaos’

A leading Republican has hit out at Donald Trump’s administration, claiming that there are only three key Cabinet officials who are preventing the nation from descending into ‘chaos’.

The scathing claim was made by Senator Bob Corker, who told reports yesterday that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Secretary of Defense James Mattis, and Chief of Staff Gen. John Kelly are responsible for helping to ‘separate our country from chaos’.

His stark response came after he was asked about the rumoured resignation of Rex Tillerson, who recently denied referring to the President as a ‘moron’.

‘I deal with people throughout the administration, and [Tillerson], from my perspective, is in an incredibly frustrating place’, he said.

‘[Tillerson, Mattis, and Kelly] act in a very — they work very well together to make sure the policies we put forth around the world are sound and coherent, and there are other people within the administration whom I believe don’t.’

He added: ‘As I watch, and I can watch very closely in many occasions, [Tillerson] ends up not being supported in the way I would hope a secretary of state would be supported.

‘I have no knowledge of the comments or anything else. I think he’s in a very trying situation, trying to solve many of the world’s problems, a lot of times without the support and help that I’d like to see him have.’

The damning criticism comes after it was reported that Rex Tillerson was in the process of securing important negotiations with North Korea, before President Trump told him that he was ‘wasting his time’.
