Resident doctors in Maharashtra sit on indefinite strike over academic fees waiver

Mumbai, Oct 01 (ANI): Maharashtra State Association of Resident Doctors (MARD) sat on indefinite strike on October 01. They demand waiving off of academic fees during COVID. Dr Akshay Yadav, a member of MARD said, “We want written assurance. We have not shut emergency services so that patient care is not compromised. Academic fees should be waived off as less academics were going on during COVID. Hostel conditions not good and BMC is deducting tax from stipend of doctors.”
