MANILA —The Senate ethics committee is expected to issue its resolution on a complaint filed against Senator Leila de Lima.
Senate majority leader and committee chairman Senator Tito Sotto said he will call for a meeting when the Senate sessions resume in May to make a decision on the affidavit and counter affidavit relative to the complaint.
It has been four months since House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez, House Majority Leader Rodolfo Fariñas and Oriental Mindoro Representative Reynaldo filed the ethics complaint against De Lima.
The complaint is in relation to De Lima’s move to stop her former driver-bodyguard Ronnie Dayan from appearing in a Lower House hearing on the alleged illegal drugs trade inside the New Bilibid Prison. — UNTV News and Rescue
