Appropriately celebrated in what is called the "Lake of Dreams" in Singapore, Resorts World Sentosa's grand opening was indeed dreamy.
Public performances and a fireworks display marked the event Dec. 7, which formally introduced the new tourist hub which is seen to draw 17 million visitors next year.

Attractions include the region’s first-and-only- Universal Studio theme park, the Maritime Experiential Museum and the recently opened Marine Life Park which houses the Adventure Cove Water Park and the S.E.A Aquarium.
It also boasts of six luxurious hotels, a casino, specialty retail outlets, Singapore's largest luxurious spa, posh restaurants, and the Resorts World Convention Center.

"Resorts World Sentosa is set out to be the integrated resort that would transform Singapore’s tourism landscape, bring economic benefits to Singapore and contribute to the local community." says Mr. Tan Hee Teck, president and chief executive of Genting Singapore PLC.
