AUSTIN, Texas (AP) _ RetailMeNot Inc. (SALE) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $2.4 million.
On a per-share basis, the Austin, Texas-based company said it had profit of 5 cents. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and pretax expenses, came to 37 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 31 cents per share.
The online coupon company posted revenue of $96.9 million in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $94.9 million.
For the year, the company reported profit of $2 million, or 4 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $280.4 million.
For the current quarter ending in April, RetailMeNot said it expects revenue in the range of $49 million to $53 million.
The company expects full-year revenue in the range of $223.5 million to $238.5 million.
RetailMeNot shares have dropped nearly 4 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 37 percent in the last 12 months.
