"Our FIRST EVER face mask removes dirt, oil, and impurities for deeply cleansed, snatched pores!" Rihanna wrote in an Instagram post on Wednesday.

"The bouncy, light-as-air texture leaves skin feeling creamy soft and smooth—not stripped like the average clay mask from the opps!"

The 34-year-old expectant mother also showed off the mask in action in a separate Instagram post, where she posed while wearing a pair of '90s-inspired sunglasses and gem-encrusted jewelry.

Fans online couldn't get enough of the sneak peek at the new face mask, and took to the comments to share their excitement.

"Need this mask all over my body," wrote one follower.

"This is dope! I’m so ready for a new skin routine," added another.

"Another product I'll be spending all my money on....le sigh," commented a fan.

The details

Retailing for $42 CAD/$32 USD, the new Cookies N Clean Whipped Clay Detox Face Mask is formulated with a blend of detoxifying and purifying ingredients. It helps to keep shine at bay thanks to oil-absorbing kaolin clay, while gently exfoliating skin with encapsulated charcoal beads.

Like all Fenty Skin products, this face mask is vegan, gluten-free, cruelty-free, and comes in recyclable packaging.

What people are saying

Although this face mask just launched, there's already plenty of positive buzz surrounding the new Fenty Skin release.

In a two-week clinical study of 53 people, 100 per cent of participants agreed that the mask deeply purifies pores and reduces excess shine after one week of use, and 96 per cent agreed it clarifies skin after one week of use.

A few reviews have also been trickling in from shoppers who were able to get their hands on the mask early.

"I love this mask! It visibly cleared my skin with one use. I only had a few minor breakouts but it reduced the redness and pulled out all of the junk in my pores. Highly recommend," reads one review.

"I could see how clean my pores were after this mask was able to get all of the dirt and oil out," reads another. "My face felt ultra smooth before I finished up my facial routine. I totally recommend that you add this to your regimen, you only have to use this twice a week!"

Since this face mask is brand new, some shoppers may want to wait and see how others react to its formula before making their purchase. However, if you do decide to wait you may just run the risk of this highly-anticipated product selling out before you can get your hands on it.
