What is Robbie Williams film Better Man?
Williams hit headlines earlier this year with the announcement of his biopic Better Man, which will tell the story of his rocky experiences of fame with the singer portrayed as a CGI monkey.
Better Man is directed by The Greatest Showman's Michael Gracey, who explained how he had come up with the monkey idea: "Robbie would say things like, 'I'm up the back dancing like a monkey.' After a while, I thought, 'Wouldn't it be amazing to represent Robbie as a monkey in the film?' Because Robbie is telling this story – and that's how he sees himself."
The film will follow Williams from childhood through finding stardom with Take That, leaving the boyband and launching his solo career, against the backdrop of his struggles with addiction.
It is set to be released in UK cinemas on Boxing Day, with the accompanying soundtrack released digitally on 27 December.
Robbie Williams will tour the UK between May and June 2024
