Robert Kubica has been confirmed to drive up the 1.16-mile hillclimb at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, which takes place from June 29 to July 2.
Poland’s 1st Formula One driver and a proven race winner at the top level, Kubica was widely regarded as a future F1 World Champion, and one of the absolute stars of the sport, before he was involved in a rallying accident in early 2011 in which his arm was nearly severed.
Undeterred, he subsequently returned to competition less than a year later and spent three years in rallying.
He will drive last year's Renault Sport E20 F1 car at Goodwood, following his first outing in an F1 car since the rallying accident, when he tested for the Renault Sport team at Valencia.
Saturday and weekend tickets or the 2017 Festival of Speed are sold out, with Thursday, Friday and a limited number of Sunday tickets still available, along with some hospitality packages remain available throughout the weekend.
