Robert De Niro looks set to join 'The War With Grandpa'
Robert De Niro is in final talks to star in Dimension Films' "The War With Grandpa" reports Deadline.
Based on the bestselling Robert Kimmel Smith novel, the story follows a young man who loves his grandfather, but possibly loves his bedroom more. After grandpa's wife dies and he moves in, the young man has to give up his beloved bedroom, leading him to embark on a series of pranks to drive grandpa out and reclaim his beloved space. However the old man proves to be a surprisingly worthy opponent.
The film would see De Niro starring as grandpa, with Tim Hill directing.
Production is set to start next spring.
