The camp of former Sen. Bongbong Marcos has accused Vice President Leni Robredo of delaying the resolution protest.
This as Marcos lawyers filed their reply to Robredo’s comment on his election protest opposing the conduct of preliminary conference.
Marcos’ election protest was filed in July last year while the last pleading was submitted to the court more than five months ago.
Bongbong Marcos lawyer Atty. Vic Rodriguez, “Lawyer it has become obvious that delay has become the name of Leni Robredo’s game and it has been months after Marcos filed this election protest. And they are doing everything. She is determined to suppress the genuine will of the Filipino people. She is determined not to proceed with the preliminary conference sapagkat nga po natatakot siya na maisambulat ang katotohanan (because she is afraid the truth will explode on her face.)”
Robredo’s lawyer, Atty. Romulo Macalintal, previously said that there are still issues to be settled before the preliminary conference could be set such as in which municipalities in particular the tribunal will order reopening of ballots. — Roderic Mendoza | UNTV News & Rescue
