MANILA, Philippines - Actor Rocco Nacino may co-own a boxing gym but he keeps a good head on his shoulders by not thinking of himself as a boss. Interestingly, this sports enthusiast still sees himself as a trainee of sorts.

"Kaya andun pa rin 'yung respeto," he said of the people working there on "Unang Hirit" on Nov. 20. "Kasi coming from someone na nagte-train, ayokong higitan 'yung title nila. Gusto ko coach pa rin 'yung tawag ko sa kanila."

He also added having been able to forge a friendship with the trainers at the gym.

Elorde Ortigas was opened about a year ago and Rocco had been dedicated in promoting it amid attending to his showbiz commitments.

"Ang laking tulong na nagka-business ako na nasa showbiz industry ako, para ma-promote 'to," the "StarStruck V" alumnus related.

His hard work looked to have paid off, with the gym establishing a clientele that includes fellow celebrities such as Raymond Gutierrez, Liz Uy, Sam Pinto, Rico Robles, Kat Alano, Maxene Magalona, and Sheena Halili, Rocco's rumored girlfriend.

Commended not only for his acting skills but also a well-toned physique, Rocco has boxing, among other favorite disciplines, to thank.

He considers boxing as his "outlet" and "stress-buster," noting with a laugh, "Minsan kasi puwede ka ring maglabas ng galit mo dito. Minsan masarap maglabas sa punching bag. Safe ka na, malalabas mo pa 'yung emosyon mo."

Truth be told, he had actually won an amateur boxing title last year. Aside from that, he deems that maintaining a fit, healthy body is a plus for any celebrity.

"Aminin natin mas may followers siya, at may mga mga taong iidolo sa kanya. At kung mapapakita niya sa mga tagahanga niya na okay ang ganitong lifestyle-ang maging healthy-magiging magandang example siya sa mga tao," he related.

The "Yesterday's Bride" star envisions a future of more fulfilled dreams for him and his family.

"Right now I'm really focused on my work, walang iba kundi magtrabaho nang magtrabaho... mag-ipon... [Para] makatulong sa parents," said he.
