New Delhi, Sep 26 (ANI): Vice Chief of Army Staff (VCOAS) Lieutenant General CP Mohanty on September 26 said that it is the role of armed forces to ensure peace, whether it is internal aggression or external disorders. “If Tibet had strong armed forces, they never would have been invaded. If there was peace in Afghanistan, there would have been prosperity. In the recent past, if we did not have the armed forces, if the country did not invest in security, we would have probably lost the war in Kargil. Doklam and Galwan would have been lost. J&K and northeast would have been in turmoil,” he said.
