As Prince George turns seven, what other royals looked like at the same age

Prince George turns seven on 22 July, 2020, and is spending the day at Anmer Hall, his family’s home in Norfolk.

The family have marked the big day with two new photographs taken by his mother, the Duchess of Cambridge.

They show a happy young royal, flashing a gap-toothed grin at the camera and clearly enjoying life in the countryside during lockdown.

While the birthday celebrations may be somewhat limited by the remaining elements of lockdown, Prince Charles has already hinted at a special way he might like to mark George’s seventh birthday.

Earlier this year, speaking on Classic FM, he suggested his own experiences at a young age should be replicated by other grandparents.

He was taken to an event at seven, and said: “It's so important, I think, for grandparents or other relations to take children – at about the age of seven – to experience some form of the arts in performance.”

Until we see grandfather and grandson being able to enjoy the theatre, look back at the royals when they were seven.
