The Royal Family's Social Media Accounts Are Quiet on Prince Harry's Birthday

Prince Harry turns 39 today, and he's celebrating with his wife, Meghan Markle, and veterans and their families in Germany for his Invictus Games.

Last night, Harry, Meghan, and members of their team went out to dinner in Düsseldorf for the Duke's birthday, and per Page Six, they ate "family-style dishes of wiener schnitzel, pork knuckle, sausage, roast and mashed potatoes." As a waiter shared after the dinner, "They were very happy. He is a lovely man, and they were so nice."

Today, during the sitting volleyball match between Poland and Germany at the Merkur Spiel-Arena, fans sang "Happy Birthday" to Harry as he clapped along.

However, the royal family's social media accounts have been noticeably quiet on Harry's big day. Last year, his birthday fell during the official mourning period for Queen Elizabeth, but in the years prior, the royal family's social accounts have tweeted birthday wishes for Harry. Last month, on Meghan Markle's birthday, the accounts were similarly devoid of any birthday messages, and they also didn't mark Prince Archie or Princess Lilibet's birthdays earlier in the summer.

Today, the @RoyalFamily account was posting about King Charles's visit to Kinross, and @KensingtonRoyal and @PrinceandPrincessofWales, the accounts of Prince William and Kate Middleton, shared posts yesterday about their visit to Hereford, but nothing new today.

Despite any snubs from his family, Prince Harry seems to having a blast at the Invictus Games.

The 6th annual games wrap up tomorrow, and after, Prince Harry and Meghan are expected to return home to Montecito, California.
