SERI KEMBANGAN: Running Man may have suffered poor ratings in recent months, but its cast members still managed to attract thousands of fans during their Malaysian fanmeet yesterday.

Held at the Malaysia International Exhibition and Convention Centre, the 155-minute event saw five stars of the South Korean variety game show, namely Lee Kwang-soo, Kim Jong-kook, HaHa, Song Ji-hyo and Ji Suk-jin, entertaining the crowd with lively song performances and interactive games.

"Thanks for your love and support all this while," Kim said, addressing the screaming fans. "It's great to be back here."

"Yeah, I can never forget how great the food is here, like the satay I had just now," Ji said.

HaHa added: "The energy is always crazy here too, so let's have a party tonight!"

The first segment saw cast members playing two games with 10 lucky fans, where they re-enacted popular K-drama scenes and jumped rope in pairs, both with hilarious results.

"Our Malaysian fans have the best sense of humour. Out of all of the fanmeets we've been to, this is the best," HaHa said with a laugh, while his fellow members nodded in agreement.

Up next, were song performances. Lee delivered a cover of Baek Ji-young's heart-warming ballad, That Woman.

Ji surprised fans with his strong vocals when he performed You Are My Everything, the soundtrack of K-drama, Descendants Of The Sun; and John Legend's All Of Me.

Recording artiste Kim performed Bruno Mars' Just The Way You Are, Justin Bieber's Love Yourself and his own hit, One Man.

Instead of singing, Song opted to deliver dance covers of K-Pop girl group Apink's Mr Chu and JY Park's Who's Your Mama?.

Kim and HaHa also danced to Mars' 24k Magic, and then Korean hip-hop group BTS' hit, Fire – this time joined by Ji, Song and Lee.

The encore comprised upbeat performances of Kim's classic Loveable, HaHa's hit Busan Vacance, and a cover of PSY's Champion.

Marking Running Man's second fanmeet in Malaysia (the first being in 2014), the event also featured performances by guest artistes such as reggae star Skull, pop singer Se7en and Taiwan-based local singer Victor Wong.

Malaysia is the final stop for the Asian leg of the Running Man fanmeet tour, covering Taiwan, Macau, Hong Kong and Thailand.

Premiering in 2010, Running Man also features cast members Yoo Jae-suk, and the recently-joined Yang Se-chan and Jeon So-min.
