Russia dismisses Dutch findings on downing of flight MH17 as baseless
MOSCOW (Reuters) - The Russian Foreign Ministry on Thursday dismissed Dutch allegations that a Russian military unit was the source of a missile that shot down Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 over eastern Ukraine in 2014 as baseless.
Dutch prosecutors identified a Russian military unit earlier on Thursday as the source of the missile that shot down the plane, killing all 298 people onboard.
The ministry said the prosecutors' findings were based on fake data provided by bloggers and aimed at discrediting Russia.
