Russian attacks kill two and injure dozens across Ukraine
Russian attacks across Ukraine killed two and injured 63 over the past day, local authorities said on Monday.
In Kharkiv, Moscow's forces struck a high-rise building — reportedly killing a 94-year-old woman and injuring 43 people, including four children.
Another person was killed in the Donetsk region after an attack on the town of Pokrovsk, which also injured three others.
Ukrainian air defence shot down 53 of 56 Shahed-type drones launched by Russia overnight, according to the Air Force, with defence systems active across the country.
Local military officials said 10 settlements in Kherson were attacked by Russian forces over the past day, with six people injured in strikes.
Across the border, Russian authorities said at least eight people were injured in a Ukrainian attack on Belgorod.
A missile struck the city on Monday morning, with the city's regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov saying one person was in critical condition while the rest suffered moderate injuries.
Belgorod borders Ukraine's Sumy, Kharkiv and Luhansk regions and is regularly used by Russia to launch strikes against Ukrainian territory.
