Rylan has dropped his surname following his split from his husband earlier this year.

The TV presenter — formerly known as Rylan Clark-Neal — is now credited on Strictly: It Takes Two simply as Rylan, while his co-host Janette Manrara and celebrity guests are all introduced on screen with their surnames.

Rylan, 32, is also credited as just one name across his social media accounts.

Yahoo UK has contacted Rylan's representative for comment.

The gameshow host — known for presenting revivals of Supermarket Sweep and Ready Steady Cook — confirmed in June that he and husband Dan Neal had separated after six years of marriage.

He said in a statement: "I have made a number of mistakes which I deeply regret and have inevitably led to the breakdown of our marriage."

Rylan — who found fame on The X Factor under the name Rylan Clark — married ex-police officer Dan Neal in November 2015 after being engaged for a year, and took on his husband's surname.

He follows in the footsteps of Girls Aloud star and TV talent show judge Cheryl, who changed her name from Cheryl Tweedy to Cheryl Cole when she married footballer Ashley Cole in 2006.

Though she was married to French restaurateur Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini between 2014 and she chose to be known professionally only by her first name.

Rylan stepped away from the spotlight around the time of the split to focus on his mental health.

He took a 10 week break from presenting his BBC Radio 2 Saturday afternoon radio show and pulled out of presenting the BBC's Eurovision live semi-final coverage in May.

Rylan met Neal when he was a contestant on Big Brother in 2013. Rylan became the host of Big Brother's Bit On The Side on Channel 5 that series, having won Celebrity Big Brother at the beginning of the year.

The couple co-hosted ITV's This Morning in 2016, standing in for Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford and becoming the first gay couple to host the show.
