Samsung Galaxy S10 price accidentally revealed and it's almost as much as the most expensive iPhone

The price of the new Samsung Galaxy S10 appears to have been leaked less than a month before it is officially launched.

The handset will come in various sizes, with different sizes and specifications, the standard model in the middle.

Italian news website TuttoAndroid revealed a price list for the various iterations of the device, together with the colours available for each model.

It suggests the higher end model will be priced at €1,599 (£1,400) – almost the same price as the top-of-the-range iPhone XS Max.

But the S10 Lite will start at €779 and increase to somewhere between €929 and €1,179 for the standard Galaxy S10, depending on the storage.

All three versions will come in black, white or green colour schemes, while the Lite will also be available in Yellow.

The S10 Plus will come in two "special edition non-ceramic versions".

Recent rumours have also hinted that Samsung will feature a hole-punch design at the front of the device to fit a front-facing camera without compromising on screen size.

This unusual design is not the only aspect of the screen that the South Korean electronics giant hopes will set its flagship phone apart from the competition.

One of the most highly-anticipated features is an in-built fingerprint scanner that is expected to sit below the screen.

This may not be greeted with enthusiasm by all customers however, as the function is apparently rendered unusable when a screen protector is placed over the display.

Images of several prototype versions of the Samsung Galaxy S10 have already been shared across social media, with one allegedly spotted this month on a bus in South Korea.

The official unveiling for the new smartphone is set for 20 February, before going on sale in early March.

Samsung does not comment on rumours or leaks of forthcoming devices and did not confirm the authenticity of the latest price leak.
