San Diego Padres Fans Celebrate Historic Comeback Win at Petco Park Tailgate Party

Noisy baseball fans erupted in celebration at a tailgate party outside Petco Park in San Diego, California, as the Padres staged a late comeback in Thursday’s Wild Card playoff game against the St Louis Cardinals.

The Cardinals took an early 4-0 lead through the first two innings.

The Padres dug deep as both Fernando Tatis Jr and Wil Myers hit two home runs each to help the San Diego outfit clinch an 11-9 Game 2 win, bringing the series to 1-1.

According to reports, Tatis and Myers became just the second pair of teammates in MLB history with multiple home runs in the same game. “The previous duo? Just a couple guys named Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig in Game 3 of the 1932 World Series,” Sports Illustrated said.
