QUEZON CITY, Philippines — Sandiganbayan has dismissed the plunder case against former Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) Board Director Fatima Valdes.
The former PCSO official was allegedly involved in the P366 million intelligent fund scam inside.
The anti-graft court said the prosecution failed to prove that Valdes and other PCSO officials conspired with then President Gloria Arroyo to release the said amount.
Sandiganbayan also noted there is no proof that she used the alleged fund for personal interest.
Valdes is among the co-accused of Arroyo in the said case.
In July 2016, the anti-graft court also dismissed the same charges against Arroyo. — (Mon Jocson | UNTV News & Rescue)
