Sarah Ferguson joins LinkedIn: What the former royal's CV looks like
Most royals don’t have to apply for jobs in quite the same way as ordinary citizens.
But it seems even in lockdown, Sarah Ferguson has opted to dust off her CV - and she’s joined LinkedIn to show it off.
Fergie, 60, has had a busy lockdown, starting a YouTube series called Fergie and Friends, where she releases a new reading of a children’s book every day.
She’s also been helping in the charity relief effort across London and Windsor, getting food delivered to hospital workers and packing care boxes alongside former husband Prince Andrew.

The Duchess of York’s LinkedIn page starts with the description “Spokesperson, Author, Producer and Humanitarian”.
It starts with her work to found the charity Children in Crisis, which she set up in 1993.
Her CV adds: “The charity has educated over 1.4 million children, trained over 18,000 teachers, built 57 schools and supports hundreds of schools on a yearly basis.”
The charity merged with Street Child, and she has been on visits to its projects in Nepal and Sierra Leone.
Most people will know the duchess for her success outside the Royal Family as an author, and its her books which dominates the majority of her CV.
It says: “The Duchess has published over 55 books including two autobiographies and titles dealing with health, empowerment, history, art, as well as children's stories.”

It adds: “Children’s books include the series of Budgie the Little Helicopter, adapted into a highly successful animated series on US primetime Fox and the children’s book Tea for Ruby, published by Simon and Schuster which had it’s debut at the top of the New York Times bestseller list.”
The mother-of-two also wrote a book called What I Know Now: Lessons Learnt The Hard Way.
It’s Fergie’s spell in the media spotlight which some may have forgotten about, showing Meghan was not the first royal to work in broadcast.
Her CV reminds: “The subject of countless media interviews herself, The Duchess has also found success as a reporter and presenter. In America, she has been a special correspondent for NBC's Today show and has presented specials and documentaries on ABC, FOX, and CNN.
“In Britain, she has presented and co-produced specials for ITV, BBC, and Sky TV. She has served as guest editor on BBC Radio 4 Today programme and has regularly contributed to BBC Radio 2’s primetime lifestyle show ‘Steve Wright’.”
It’s not unusual for royals to work with publications for special editions. Prince Harry guest edited the Today programme; both Kate and Meghan have edited issues of Vogue; and Prince Charles has edited Country Life magazine on a number of occasions.

Ferguson lists a number of charities and organisations in her interests, including the Anti-Slavery Collective, which was co-founded by her daughter Princess Eugenie.
She also lists Pitch@Palace, which was set up by her former husband, the Duke of York.
Prince Andrew has stepped back from his role as a senior royal since a disastrous interview over his friendship with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.
Ferguson’s love of cricket is also clear, with her listing the England and Wales Cricket Board, Marylebone Cricket Club and the Ruth Strauss Foundation in her interests.
The Ruth Strauss Foundation was set up by Sir Andrew Strauss in the wake of his wife’s death from a rare form of lung cancer.
Ferguson said she was “excited” to join the business based social network as she launched her profile on Tuesday.
