Today was supposed to be Princess Beatrice's wedding day. Back in February, Buckingham Palace confirmed that she would walk down the aisle to marry her fiancé, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, on May 29. But sadly, because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the royal wedding has been postponed.

Beatrice's mother, Sarah Ferguson, confirmed the news to Royal Central in April. "Princess Beatrice’s wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, planned for 29 May, has been postponed due to the global coronavirus pandemic," she said.

At this point, it's unclear when Beatrice and Edo are hoping to reschedule, and if their plan is to still hold their ceremony at the Chapel Royal, St. James’s Palace, followed by a reception in the Buckingham Palace gardens, just at a later date.

But this morning on Twitter, Ferguson acknowledged that today would have been her daughter's wedding day.

"Love you my darling Beatrice. You have given me more joy than I could ever wish for. I am so excited to celebrate yours and Edo’s love when we all are out of lockdown," she wrote on social media, including a sweet photo of a young Beatrice with the post.

Fergie also acknowledged that Beatrice is hardly the only bride in this situation, sending love for all those whose wedding plans have been disrupted by the virus. "The most important thing is health and love and today I send it to you and all the other people that were getting married during this time .. so proud of you all," she wrote.
