Sarah Ferguson Reacts to Daughter Eugenie's Pregnancy News on IG

Two days ago, Princess Eugenie, 32, announced that she is expecting her second child with husband Jack Brooksbank—and no one is more excited than grandmother-to-be, Sarah Ferguson.

On Instagram, the Duchess of York celebrated the occasion by sharing a sweet photo of herself embracing her daughter. She captioned the post, "So happy for my girlie."

In the pic, which was taken outdoors, Ferguson is beaming as she wraps her daughter in the biggest hug. In the comments section, one fan wrote, "What a great pic!! Congratulations Mom & Gran." Another responded, "So pleased for you all, nothing better than adding a new baby to the family. A grandchild brings so much love and happiness."

Not surprisingly, the royal shared not one, but two reaction posts to the big announcement. On the day that the news broke, she posted a pic of Princess Eugenie's one-year-old son, August, playing in water puddles. She wrote, "You will be sharing puddles, Augie! Superb news, Granny heaven…. So deeply grateful."

This will mark Ferguson's third time becoming a grandmother. In addition to Eugenie's baby boy, whom she welcomed in February 2021, there's also Sienna Elizabeth, the one-yer-old daughter of Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

Ferguson has been quite vocal about the bond she shares with both of her grandkids. In fact, the proud granny revealed that August is typically all smiles when he's around her.

She told Hello! magazine, "It's so funny because when August smiles at me now, because he's seven and a half months, you actually know he genuinely likes you. It's not a put-on smile, he genuinely finds me very funny which is quite lucky."

The royal also praised her daughters for their incredible parenting skills. She said, "My children are phenomenal mothers. They were great children, but now they're phenomenal mothers. And now, I have these two exceptional grandchildren all in one year."

Ferguson continued, "Everyone asks me, 'How are your grandchildren?' Well, firstly, I look at my girls being wonderful mothers, and then I see these incredible beings."

Sounds like Princess Eugenie's baby will be in the best hands.
