The Singapore Civil Defence Force has done it again, rescuing two workers who got stuck in a precarious position 40 floors high yesterday afternoon.

SCDF last night boasted of its latest height rescue operation by posting several photos of their team saving the two workers, who were stranded on a gondola on the 40th floor of Capital Tower at No. 168 Robinson Road.

They were alerted to the incident at about 1:40pm and deployed their firefighters from the Marina Bay Fire Station. They went up to the 41st floor to “assess the gondola’s stability” and the workers’ conditions, SCDF said.

Meanwhile, SCDF’s Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team lowered rescue ropes to a platform on the 41st floor and descended onto the gondola.

They successfully hoisted one of the workers up to safety before helping the second worker, who had difficulty moving, onto a stretcher and up to safe grounds.

Both workers were later conveyed to the Singapore General Hospital.
