STORY: Angry protesters confronted, argued and pushed against riot police as they tried to approach closer to the embassy, being forced back by police officers yeilding shields.
The demonstrators chanted slogans and held various placards reading, "Homophobia and sexism kill."
"Women have no right in that country, they are like criminals, by nature, by default of that regime," said one protester from the Iranian community who did not want to be identified, as he argued with police to allow him to approach the embassy gate and was pushed back.
Protesters in Tehran and other Iranian cities torched police stations and vehicles on Thursday over the death of Amini, 22, who died last week after being arrested in Tehran for wearing "unsuitable attire." She fell into a coma while in detention. The authorities have said they would launch an investigation into the cause of her death.
